Carlota Carretero

Carlota Carretero García holds a PhD in Sociology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She currently works as a researcher at Universitat Jaume I in Castellón. She graduated in English Studies and holds a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Gender Studies, both from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Her research interests are: gender studies, feminist theory, entrepreneurship, employment, equality policies and emotions.

Her most recent publications are: “Women’s entrepreneurial subjectivity under scrutiny: Expert knowledge on gender and entrepreneurship” in Gender, Work and Organization and “Promotion Programs for Women’s Entrepreneurship in Spain: A “Transformational Entrepreneurial Journey” in Social Politics (both with Amparo Serrano Pascual).

She completed pre-doctoral research stays at the Institute for Social Research (Frankfurt am Main, Germany) and at the European Trade Union Institute (Brussels, Belgium).
