Francisco Fernández Beltrán
Francisco Fernández Beltrán is a doctor in Business and Institutional Communication by the Universitat Jaume I and is graduated in Information Sciences (Journalism speciality) by the Universitat Politècnica de València. He has worked as a journalist in the newspapers Mediterráneo and Levante, where he had specialised in economic information and educational themes. He is a founder partner of the Direcom advertising agency, has managed communication actions for customers like Grundig España, The Tourism Business Federation of Castellón, Cookson Mathey, the Official Medical Association of Castellón and the Official Pharmacists’ Association, among other important ones.
Since 1998 he has been the Head of the Communication and Publications Service of the Universitat Jaume I de Castellón, which he currently combines with teaching in the Official Master’s Degree in New Trends and Innovation Processes in Communication, of which he is the Co-director, as well as in other postgraduate courses. He has participated as an invited teacher in Master Degrees of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, the Universitat de València, the Universidad Cardenal Herrera-CEU, the Catholic University of Murcia, the University of Las Américas in Ecuador and the University of Valle in Mexico. He has formed part of the team that prepared the Image and Communication Management Manual of the Universitat Jaume I, the first to be published by a public Spanish university. He worked as a lecturer in the Degree of Advertising and Public Relations between academic years 2000-01 to 2003-04. From 2001 to 2010, he has been the Co-director of the Local Communication Conference (ComLoc), an annual encounter that revises the basis of local communication.
